How it started

As a babysitter for my brother, nephews and nieces, I had the habit of making up stories from a young age. Stories that completely immersed them in their fantasy world. When I became a mother myself, those memories came back to life. Every evening I now make up stories for my daughter, precisely tailored to her reactions. Sometimes exciting, sometimes funny, but always with a touch of magic.

 

 

The stories I wrote were the stories she wanted to hear over and over again – sometimes twenty times! To make sure I wouldn’t forget them and so she could read them to her own children, I decided to put them on paper. This small project quickly grew into the idea of sharing these stories with other families.

 

What makes this book extra special is that the stories not only entertain, but also teach lessons. I use Elisa’s adventures to indirectly teach my daughter important life lessons. Things like crossing the road safely, being honest, keep trying, accepting mistakes, and not giving up. Often the stories are inspired by situations from our daily lives: something that happened that day, a challenge she struggled with, or something I knew she would need the next day. The stories are a playful way to prepare her for life, while she enjoys the adventures.

 

 

 

My hope is that Elisa’s adventures will not only continue to enchant my daughter, but will also inspire other children, spark their imaginations, and teach them something valuable at the same time – just as I used to do for my nieces and nephews.
